We took the time to speak to Mr. Gideon Sam who is SASCOC’s President. In this part two of the two part series we took a journey and looked at development and transformation in sport through Mr Sam’s eyes.
We have heard a lot of views about transformation weighing up both the pros and cons to the debate however rarely have we been given a practical outlook within the controversial discourse. Mr Sam gave us an insider’s assessment both from a historical and prospective perspective which both opposing sides would be inclined to agree with.
In Part 1 we expressed the view that if you are one person that believes the myth that suggests that there’s a vacuum and a lack of inspiration in black leadership, well you have never heard the story of a noble visionary, and here in part 2 Mr Sam demonstrates his ability as a visionary which will leave everyone with a clear direction for the country to take in the battle to transform all sport.
