The United States women’s football team have defended their world title in style beating Netherlands 2 – 0 in the FIFA Women’s World Cup final on Sunday.
Megan Rapinoe broken the deadlock when she converted from the penalty spot (VAR) and gave the Americans 1 – 0 lead in the second half. Rose Lavelle’s sublime strike from outside the box extended the lead that saw off the Netherlands. U.S were dominant throughout the 90 minutes played at the Stade de Lyon, the Dutch hardly threatened the U.S superstars.
