Ertugral announced on television last night, after the game against SuperSport United, that he would be meeting with Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza and putting in his resignation.
The Buccaneers suffered a disappointing 6-1 loss against Matsatsantsa in their Absa Premiership game at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday night.
A visibly disappointed Ertugral was lost for words after the game and announced that he would be resigning from his position as the team’s head coach.

Earlier today, Pirates called a press conference as speculation has been rife that Ertugral would be on his way out of the club. The club has now confirmed that they have gone their separate ways with the Turkish coach.
As things stand, the futures of Bradley Carnell and Rowen Fernandez at the club are also uncertain. The duo worked as assistant coach and goalkeeper coach respectively under Ertugral in his technical team at Bucs.
